Day 1: Hanoi – Vi Khe Bonsai Village – Countryside Museum – Salt Village (L, D)

In the morning, our local tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer to Nam Dinh city. It takes about 1.5 hours from Hanoi to get Nam Dinh. Upon arrival in Nam Dinh, we first visit Vi Khe village. It is a chance to visit one of the largest bonsai villages in Vietnam. In Vi Khe, you can see trees in many shapes, such as a landing dragon, a woman holding a baby, horses, Phoenix, and so forth. After that, the local guide will lead you to the Countryside Museum, in which you can be overwhelmed by the objects about the normal life of Vietnamese farmers. Savor lunch with the local dishes.

In the afternoon, your trip continues with a visit to the salt village, in which you can either try the work of the locals or become a fisherman with the square dipping-net.

We will then transfer and check-in homestay. Take a rest and enjoy the BBQ dinner with local seafood. Overnight in homestay.

Day 2: Xuan Thuy National Park – Clam Hut Lunch – Phu Nhai Church (B, L)

Start your day earlier, then take an hour cycling around Giao Xuan Commune and relish in the majesty of sunrise. It is so exciting when visit Giao Hai early fish market, watch the scene when fishermen return from a night fishing far from shore and bring back a lot of fresh seafood. We then visit the local fish-sauce making family, see the traditional methods of making this kind of sauce. Then we get back to the homestay for having breakfast and check-out.

The trip continues with an exploration of Xuan Thuy National Park for bird watching, indulge in the beautiful rural landscapes in Nam Dinh. Getting on a boat and rowing around the national park. Next, we check in Clam Hut for a special lunch with seafood.

After lunch, we will transfer to Phu Nhai Church, the first place of Christ religion step into Vietnam. Get on the car and turn back to Hanoi departure. Your two-day exploration in Giao Thuy, Nam Dinh ends here. See you on the next trips!
