Van Phuc Silk Village Trip – Half-Day

Located on the bank of Nhue Thi River, Van Phuc silk village is around 10km Southwest of Hanoi. Van Phuc Silk Village is considered one of the traditional villages preserving the most long-established cultural values and historical traditions in Vietnam. Founded for ages, Van Phuc Silk village is home to outstanding artisans who make a variety of apparel and souvenirs using their handed-down looms.

The fame of traditional weaving silk techniques and premium quality products make the village become a prominent craft village in Vietnam. Besides selling their silk products for tourists in Hanoi, this village also exports them to many countries over the world.

Full itinerary

12:30: Our guide will pick you up at the hotel and we kick off the journey by taking a 30-minute drive to Van Phuc Silk Village. The village has been much well known for its traditional sericulture, weaving, and premium quality silk products.

13:00: On arrival, we will stroll around the village to see local families that have specialized in weaving and dying silk over many centuries. You also see different stages of local artisans make handmade silks. Later you have free time for shopping in the village’s shops or drop by a local family for a chat with the owner over a green tea about the history of the village.

15:30: Return to Hanoi. You will be brought back to your hotel. Your day trip in Hanoi ends.
