Meet the Artist – Mr. Le Xuan Huong (Henry Le)
Le Xuan Huong, known as Henry Le, is a Vietnamese artist, art collector and curator, as well as the founder of Nguyen Art Gallery. A graduate of the University of Industrial Fine Arts in 1997, Henry has dedicated years to exploring Vietnamese art, working with artists and bringing their creations to a wider audience. He founded Nguyen Art Gallery in Hanoi in 2006, creating a space where Vietnamese artworks and the stories behind them could be shared with visitors from around the world.
What makes Henry’s perspective distinctive is the way he brings together three roles: the artist who understands the creative process, the collector who recognises the character of an artwork, and the curator who explores its technique, symbolism and cultural significance.
During the Hanoi Art Tour, Henry shares his knowledge and personal insights in fluent English, offering a deeper understanding of Vietnamese paintings, lacquer and silk art. Through his stories, visitors can look beyond the canvas to discover the artists, experiences and cultural influences that give each work its meaning.
