Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
On arrival at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by our local guide and our driver will transfer you to the hotel to check-in. After a short rest, you will take a 1-hour for cyclo tour of the French-inspired the Old Quarter, passing through Nha Tho street with the Grand Cathedral, designed and built in the Gothic style that prevailed in Europe around the turn of the 12th century and a period of renaissance.
Then we will sit down to enjoy a unique performance of the famous Water Puppets. After the Water Puppet performance, we will have welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant in town. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Boat (B, L, D)
After breakfast, a day of memorable highlights with a stop first in the “Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam” – Halong Bay. On arrival in Halong, we will embark on our cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. We will savor a delectable lunch while we cruise among the limestone islands. In the mid-afternoon, we will kayak among the hidden areas of the bay before going back to the cruise and continue cruising to Soi Sim Island. You have time for relaxing, rowing boat, or swimming at the beach of Soi Sim or climbing up to the top of the island for a panoramic view of Halong Bay. In the evening, return to the main boat and have dinner. Overnight on the cruise.
Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi Departure (B, L, D)
Start the day with the scenic drive to explore Sung Sot Cave – the nicest cave in Halong Bay. Followings, we return to the boat, freshen up and check out of your cabin. Continue the cruise exploring Halong Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and another destination. While heading back to the harbor, let spend time watching the cooking demonstration before enjoying the traditional Vietnamese lunch. We will return at around noon and get on our car, and back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 4: Hanoi – Nam Dinh Pilgrimage with Hai Ly Ruined Church (B, L, D)
Today, an included excursion takes you to attend the Sunday mass at the Grand Cathedral in Hanoi before taking a 3-hour drive to Nam Dinh province in the Red River Delta region of Northern Vietnam. Upon arrival, we will drive around the Old Quarter of Nam Dinh before stopping at Nam Dinh Cathedral, the church has a simple design but still exudes serious contemplation. Then we drive to Hai Ly commune, Hai Hau district had many large and small churches.
After having lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to visit Hung Nghia Church, Thanh Danh Kien Lao Church. Finish our trip at the Diocese of Bui Chu. Finish our journey and return to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi City Tour – Departure (B)
On the final leg of your journey, explore the capital city through Hanoi City Tour. First up we will drive to visit Cua Bac Church which situated in one of the most beautiful tree-lined boulevards in Hanoi. Next, we move on to visit the Temple of Literature, which originally built as the first university in Vietnam. We will be free for shopping in Hanoi Old Quarter ranges from markets through to designer boutique stores to amazing art galleries before transferring to the airport. Trip ends.
