Hanoi Spiritual & Cultural Journey with the Hầu Đồng Ritual – Half Day

The program begins with a comfortable private transfer from Hanoi to Phủ Tiên Hương.

Guests are warmly welcomed at the gate. A short introduction follows, providing essential program information, an overview of the temple’s architecture, and a presentation of Medium/Artisan Nguyễn Đức Hiển.

Afterwards, guests explore the inner area and exhibition space, where they learn about the Robe of Marquis Hoàng Mười, traditional silk painting, and the architectural features of the main hall. The visit includes a stop at the costume and exhibition room, accompanied by tea and macarons.

The ritual experience begins with an introduction to the Hầu Đồng ritual and the Mother Goddess belief system. This is followed by the opening ritual featuring a welcoming Chầu Văn performance, incense offerings, ritual items, and a veiling ceremony to invite the deities.

The ceremony continues with the Male Deity Trance, during which the medium opens the trance, changes costumes, performs offerings, and distributes blessings. The experience is then repeated during the Female Deity Trance, offering a different spiritual expression through costume changes, offerings, and additional blessings.

The ceremony concludes with a closing ritual, giving thanks to the Mother Goddesses and the Holy Spirits. After that, guests engage in a meaningful discussion with the artisan, exploring the cultural significance of receiving blessings—such as luck and peace—and participating in a Q&A session.

Return journey to Hanoi by private transportation, arriving around 12:30, marking the completion of this immersive half-day cultural experience.
