Full Itinerary of Hanoi Vegetable Farm & Le Mat Snake Village – Half Day
Our guide and private car will pick you up at your hotel. After a brief introduction to the day’s program, we depart Hanoi via suitable routes designed to avoid the most congested city traffic as much as possible.
On the way, we pass by Long Bien Bridge, Hanoi’s oldest historic bridge. If traffic conditions allow, we will stop briefly for photos and to enjoy views of the Red River.
Leaving the urban area behind, the drive continues along the Red River dyke into quieter countryside. You will see green rice fields, cornfields, and vegetable farms, which form one of the largest vegetable-growing areas supplying Hanoi. Depending on the season, you may also spot kumquat trees, grapefruits, or peach blossoms.
Arrive at Le Mat Snake Village. You will have a chance to witness lots of snakes being kept, taste snake meat, which seems very strange to you but it is supposed to make people stronger.
Continue by car to Le Mat Communal House, dedicated to the village founder and associated with the legend of rescuing the King’s daughter. Enjoy a short break with fresh fruit or juice while interacting with local residents and learning more about village life.
