Staying in the left of Red River, Bat Trang Ceramic Village is 10 km from the Hanoi Center. The village with more than 500 years old seems like the paradise for those who interested in pottery or fine handicrafts. Bat Trang pottery has a wide reputation because of high quality and affordable.
Dong Ho Traditional Painting Village is located in Song Ho, Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province, about 35km away from Hanoi. Dong Ho village (or locally called Ho Village) situates on the south bank of Duong River and Ho bridge. Also situated in Thuan Thanh district, Bac Ninh province, But Thap pagoda (nowadays Ninh Phuc Tu) is famous as a complex with unique architecture and splendid scenery.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Bat Trang Ceramic Village – Co Loa Citadel – Dong Ho Painting Village – Dong Ky Wood Carving Village (L, D)
You will be picked at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Bat Trang, the famous traditional village with a stable product is pottery. Visit the village and have a quick view of the ceramic making process and then move to Co Loa Citadel. Savor lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to visit Dong Ho painting village, and also visit Dong Ky wood carving village. We then visit But Thap Pagoda with the unique architecture. In the late afternoon we back to Hanoi for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Van Phuc Silk Village – Tram Pagoda – Tram Gian Pagoda – Thay Pagoda – Tay Phuong Pagoda
Leave early in the morning after breakfast to head for a full day trip to explore the outstanding destinations of today. The first stopover is Van Phuc Silk Village, learn how to make the product from the silkworm, create the natural color for the silk product, and don't forget to buy some as the gift to take back.
The next destination is Tram Pagoda, a sacred place nearby Hanoi. The pagoda attracts a huge volume of pilgrims visiting and sightseeing. Tram Gian Pagoda (also called Quang Nghiem or Tien Lu pagoda) is our next destination. Before savor lunch, we hop on the car and transfer to Thay pagoda. The pagoda is home to restore the historical-cultural values of Vietnam. Thay Pagoda is not simply a sacred place, it has been turned into one of the most appealing tourist sites in Hanoi by the unique architecture and magnificent natural scenery.
The last highlight of today is Tay Phuong pagoda, also known as Sung Phuc Pagoda, including three buildings built in descending sequence on the hillside. The earliest construction of the pagoda here dates from the 8th century.
Day 3: City Tour in Hanoi (L)
The last day is the time to explore Hanoi, a city of peace! Going around the major destinations of the ancient city like Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and West Lake with a local guide is the best choice for tourists who would like to find out more about Hanoi.
Ho Chi Minh Complex, the first place in the complex is Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where is one of the most time visiting compared to other attractions in the tour.
Temple of Literature
This site was originally built as the first university in Hanoi dedicated to Confucius, scholars, and sages. Temple of Literature is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake
Like a small island lying on the West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda is considered as one of the most sacred Buddhist places. The pagoda is special because the terrain and the history associated with the nation.
Enjoy the fresh air and find your calm place in your soul when staying in front of West Lake! Cycling around the lake and indulging in the countless beautiful spots.
